What are the advantages and disadvantages of mud agitator

Advantages:

Mud agitator is a liquid-solid mixing equipment, which is mainly used in drilling mud circulation system in oil field. Mud agitator is mainly used for drilling fluid mixing, make the drilling fluid in the circulating tank produced circumferential, radial flow and axial flow to prevent solid particles in drilling fluid deposite in the circulatory system, and make the performance  of circulating drilling fluid is stable.

How to maintain the mud mixer:

  1. Before starting, check the connecting parts to see whether there is a loose phenomenon, tighten it if have.
  2. When testing the mud agitator, the main observation of the whole machine is running smoothly, whether the noise is too large, stop to check it imediately if there are some abnormal phenomenon. After the trouble is excluded, mud agitator can be put into normal operation.
  3. The staff should check the reducer through the oil standard to see if the lubricating oil in the body of gear box is added enough, if the lubricating oil is not enough, the same grade of oil must be added in.
  4. Check the sealing condition of oil drain plug to see whether there is oil spillings. If the oil leakage phenomenon happen, you must tighten the drain plug.
  5. After starting to use the mud agitator, you should discharge all the lubricating oil which are in the gear box at most five days and clean up the inside of gear box, change it with clean oil and replace it every 6 months.
  6. After the running of the mud agitator is over, if it won’t be in use for a long time, you should wash and clean up the mud in the impeller that on the mud agitator.

Centrifugal pumps and mud agitators shipment to Brunei

Although very cold weather in China these days, the enthusiasm of our staff has not been reduced by the kilkling freezing for the order for goods comeing from our customers one by one.

1 Paddle type agitator

Leaves of paddle type agitator are made of flat steel, being welded or fixed on the wheel hub by bolt, the leaf number is 2, 3 or 4, blade shape can be divided into two kinds of straight blade type and folding blade. The paddle type mud agitator  is mainly used for the circulation of the fluid, and also can be used for the mixing of high viscosity fluid. It can promote the exchange of upper and lower fluid, and instead the high-price screw belt impeller .

2 Propulsion type agitator

The propulsion  type agitator is used in low viscosity fluid, and the turbulence of fluid is not high when mixing, but the circulating quantity is large. The propulsion type agitator is simple in structure and easy to manufacture, and is suitable for the occasions where have the low viscosity and large flow rate, and it has the good performance of the cyclic performance and the shearing action is not so good. It belongs to the circulation type agitator.

3 Turbine type agitator

The turbine type agitator belongs to the low viscosity fluid flow mixer, it is the most commonly used type of agitator in the mixing of drilling fluid. It can effectively accomplish almost all of the stirring operation, and can handle a wide range of fluid viscosity. The turbine type agitator has a large shear force, which can be used to make the fluid micelle be very fine. It is suitable for the mixing of low viscosity liquid to medium viscosity fluid and the liquid-liquid dispersion, liquid and solid suspension.
